Project Description:
To accelerate new industrialization, and promote low-carbon transformation, upgrading and green development of industries in Jiangxi Province, Jiangxi Province has utilized a $200 million loan from the NDB to support a demonstration project for low-carbon transformation and green development of industries in Jiangxi Province, which encourages the greening and upgrading of traditional industries with the aim of improving energy efficiency and saving energy.

This is one of the key projects of NDB's strategic goals to promote infrastructure and sustainable development. It is also the first national renewable resources, energy-saving and environmental protection project financed by NDB. The loan period is 20 years, and planned to reduce CO2 emissions by 263,500 tons annually.

The services we provide:
Integrated Project Management - Assist the PPMO in whole-process management of the project by developing implementation methodologies, procedures and guidelines for key project activities and coordinating the implementation of activities by EA and IAs;

Financial Management - Establish effective and sound project internal control and financial management system; Establish project accounts and guide each PIU to prepare financial reports for each subproject; Assist in handling the withdrawal and reimbursement of NDB project loans in accordance with the withdrawal and reimbursement requirements of NDB; Develop financial management manual.

Environmental and Social Management - Development and Implementation of Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS); Establish ESMS/procedure at the subproject level in accordance with the requirements and procedures of provincial ESMS; Monitor the environmental and social performance and compliance status of each subproject, and establish corrective action tracking procedure; Prepare environmental and social parts of project progress reports.

Reporting and Communication - Provide project management reports. These reports include but are not limited to: inception report, monthly progress report, project completion report, semiannual progress report, environmental and social monitoring report; Assist the PMO and PIUs in preparing project financial statements; Assist in drafting internal and external correspondence and replies to NDB.
