Mr. Zhang Yuancheng delivered a lecture titled "China’s practice in Promoting Climate Change Response and Green Low-Carbon Transition through International Financial Cooperation" drawing on extensive experience and successful cases. He systematically outlined the end-to-end process of multilateral international financial institution projects—from initiation, preparation, and appraisal to loan negotiation, implementation, and post-evaluation. Using concrete project cases of EED within multilateral financial institutions as examples, he provided an in-depth interpretation, offering participants from developing countries practical insights and experience on utilizing international funding to advance climate action. This significantly enhanced their project implementation capabilities in relevant fields.

He emphasized that climate change is a severe challenge faced by all humanity, with critical implications for global sustainable development and the future trajectory of our planet. EED consistently aligns with national strategies, steadfastly implementing China’s proactive approach to climate action. Simultaneously, EED actively promotes South-South cooperation, aiming to collaborate with partner countries in the developing world to jointly enhance capacities for addressing climate change.
